Living it up

It was a typical friday night and I was chilling out in my swing.

Once I woke up, I felt like doing something fun. I scratched my head thinking of things to do.

Then I suggested to amma that we go out for dinner(with my finger pointing to the door and a menacing expression on my face that almost said "Take me out or else...")

We all went to Santana Row for dinner. I behaved very well through the entire evening only waking up to eat.

You must be wondering where I was in the picture below. Well, Daddy was busy getting us a table at the restaurant so I had to take this picture.... hence...

Thanks for checking back and you all take care while I contemplate my next move.

Lots of love

My trip to the beach

Hello everyone,

Pinni came to visit me last month and we all headed off to celebrate the onset of spring with a trip to sunny Santa Cruz. I was as usual all decked up and ready for the occasion.

Our first stop was at "Mystery Spot".

Tata, ammamma and Pinni took some interesting photos although I dont find this place that mysterious.

I already know that its a result of the effects of forced perspective, optical adaptation, and certain visual illusions in combination with the steep gradient of the site. If only I could talk.....

We then headed off to Santa Cruz boardwalk and chilled on the beach.

The weather was perfect for some fries, coke and a roll in the sand.

I cant wait for summer to get here when I can play a lot longer at the beach...

Lots of love

Home Sweet Home

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your blessings. It really encouraged the author in me to provide you with more updates.

I am slowly getting used to being home. I am still on Indian Standard Time and somehow can never understand why no one wants to play with me when I am awake.

Mom and Dad take turns at feeding me and I dont always like to drink milk. I mean, how much can you have of the same thing... day and night.. We babies would like some variety too :-)

Mom and Dad performed some ritual at home on my 13th day. I found it kinda cool until they lit the fire and I had to hide under my blanket.

I dressed up in traditional attire too and I was put in my cradle... I like being rocked in it..

I am having fun at home but I am kinda getting bored now and would like to venture out to see the world. Let me ponder on how I can convince my parents to take me out.

Meanwhile, you all take care and keep updating the comments.

Lots of Love,

Diya.

I am a Party Pooper!!!

Well... only literally speaking... I actually enjoy parties a lot!!!

Mom and Dad finally figured out they cant keep me at home forever, so they decided to take me out.

So came about my first outing... to Raja mavayya, Souju atta and my dear cousin Nithya's house.

I kinda liked sleeping in the car seat but I think my Dad needs a new car(Although Mom does'nt quite agree...).

I chilled out with Mom for a while until I got used to being around so many people. But once I got used to being the center of attraction, I did a little mingling.
I met my cousins Nishika, Nithya and Rithvik. We chatted for a while in our code language(Oohs, Aahs and sometimes Eehs) and they gave me valuable tips on how to deal with parents.

Now I've got some new tricks up my sleeve but am waiting for the right time to use them.

Sensing my penchant for parties, Mom, Dad and Pinni threw a surprise party for Tata and Ammamma.

They cooked up some specials and gave Ammamma a much needed break from the kitchen. Pinni and Dad made a cake for Tata and Ammamma.

I was hoping to have a sliver but decided against it as it looked too fatty. After all, a girl needs to watch what she eats :-)

More later....

Lots of Love,

Diya

My First Pics

Hello everyone!!!
I am Diya Raja Vatsavai and I was born on Feb 1st, 2008 at 8:01am. I weighed 7.4lbs(abt 3.3 kgs) and was 19.75in(50 cms) tall at birth.

I sleep during the day and am up all night. I dont eat much and I cry a lot. Mom and Dad try to bribe me to not cry with things like soft toys, musical mobiles but I dont settle for anything less than being picked up and carried around.

I came home on my third day and Tata and Ammamma gave me a wonderful welcome by decorating the house with balloons.

I can't wait to meet all of you but its getting late now and I think its time for me to wake up Mom and Dad. Here are a few pics of mine. As you can see I like to try different sleeping poses. And in this one, I was having a bad hair day....

I will try and send you regular reports of my progress including anecdotes of my parents trying to be parents. So check back later.... Bye for now.

Lots of Love,
Diya.

p.s. Please include your best wishes and blessings as comments on my blog.
